Olympic Fun!

Today the Olympic Torch passed through Falmouth to begin it's tour of the UK before finally finding its way to the Olympic Stadium in London at the end of July.

I just wanted to share some pictures with you really. Falmouth was the busiest that I have ever seen it and the atmosphere was nothing short of electric. The torch was actually carried past the end of my road at about 11am so me, Jane & El went to watch it happen and then wondered into the centre of town to join in the rest of the festivities.

It was such a lovely day! A day I probably should have spent revising but I'm very glad I didn't.

I didn't manage to get a picture of my outfit in town, mainly because it was so busy and it was a little awkward to pose in front of everyone. So I made Jane take some pictures of me in our back garden after Dinner. This outfit is now day old so please excuse the creases!

The dress is from Boohoo and I love the colour and pattern, just feels like something a little unusual. It was so warm today, it was lovely to be able to just brave a cardigan all day! Me and Jane also had dinner outside, which I just wanted to show you because it was my favourite kind meal. Tapas/Antipasti kind of stuff, with Mediterranean bread, lots of cheese and olives and plenty of salad!

My week in photos...

So this is the first Instagram post I've done! I just wanted to show you what I've been up to. Unfortunately if you follow me on Instagram (@sherimatthews) or on Twitter this might be a little boring for you!

1. Strawberries and natural yoghurt to prepare me for a day a revision, healthy eating has gone out of the window since then!
2. I was lucky enough to be able to revise outside...once.
3. Last Friday Kay and I went to see Dark Shadows the new Tim Burton & Johnny Depp film...it was magical and Depp was perfect. We had dinner in classy 'Spoons first!
4. My chocolate sundae from 'Spoons.
5. Peach Melba and white dotty nails.
6. Revision (I'm 2 exams down 3 to do, uni is gonna kill me)
7. The coffee station Jane & I made to get us through work.
8. Taking time out from work to write some lovely blog posts.
9. My new vintage Ray Ban Wayfarers!
10. Revision boredom = pretty nails.
11. Post-exam chill out at Dolly's with Charlie from Charlestown (LOVE THIS GIRL)
12. Post-exam chocolate cake with Charlie.

I'm hoping that this weekend I might be able to do a couple more posts! The Olympic torch runs through my town today, literally going past the end of my road, so exciting!

Summer yet?

At the moment it feels like summer is so close that I can taste it! The weather's been delicious the last couple of days and I've wanted to dress accordingly (when I'm not revising in my PJs locked away in my room!).

This outfit feels so summery to me! Floral's and Pastels! The skirt is from eBay, originally from Warehouse though, the top is Matalan & the Cardi is Primark.

This weekend has been all about revision, my exams start on Wednesday and I really really really can't wait for them to be over! I go to Rhodes for my Cousins wedding with my ENTIRE family a few days after my last exam and it can't come quick enough!

I hope exams are going well for everyone else, quick post today, gotta get back to those books!

Mum's the word...

So yesterday it was my beautiful, amazing and slightly crazy Mum's Birthday. Me, being in Cornwall and her, being in Birmingham makes Birthdays and presents a little trickier! But non the less off I popped to the post office on the 10th with a box of goodies to pay the Royal Mail (a stupid amount) to take it all the way to my Mum's doorstep.

Anyone who knows me knows of my love for a certain leg-shaking rock star. My mum is probably definitely responsible for my slight massive obsession with the life and music of Elvis Presley. The only tape (yes tape!) that was allowed to be played in the car on the way to school was a medley of Mr Presley's greatest hits. So really I was only ever going to go one of two ways in my adult life. I was either going to have a total loathing for him and his music after being made to listen to nothing but for 18 years or I was going to have a total loving for everything he did. The latter, to the joy of mother, is what actually happened.

This post and outfit are therefore dedicated to mum!

Hopefully you can see in the pictures that the top I'm wearing actually has a picture of Elvis printed on the front. I wanted an Elvis top for ages and then I found this one on eBay! The skirt is from Zara, it's a gorgeous blue & white strip pattern. The glasses I'm wearing are Vintage Ray Ban (which you'll already know about if you follow me on twitter or instagram!)

How's everyone getting on anyway? I've been trying to revise for my second year uni exams, gorgeous weather at the moment, I might try and revise outside! Anyone else in the middle of exam season? Hope you're getting on ok!
